Forward Swindon Ltd are driving forward regeneration through the re-development of 100 hectares in Swindon town centre. Swindon railway station has been identified as one of only three towns in the UK to benefit from station regeneration in the next five years. There is an ‘arc of investment opportunity’ surrounding the railway station include Kimmerfields central business district, Carriageworks, North Star and the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery. These projects will deliver 1,000 new homes, 10,000 new jobs, and a state-of-the-art transport interchange and bring in £500 million of inward investment to the town centre.
