CartoConsult

“Swindon born business, working locally operating globally.”

I was born & bred a Swindonian 34 years ago. Growing up in Old Town, attending Lethbridge School and then Commonweal, my roots have always been here. I now live in North Swindon with my wife Faye and three children, Oliver (8), Daisy (4) and Henry (1).

My working career spans 15 years, beginning at Halcrow Group (now CH2M) in Chiseldon. After 13 years service working in the UK and Middle East, it was a time for a new challenge, which is when CartoConsult was born.

CartoConsult is 2 years old, and its been a whirlwind. We provide innovative, digital mapping software, using location-based data. We are well known across the globe now for our 3D maps product Carto3D™, which is focused on supporting the construction and urban planning sectors, so you could say its been a success, so far!

We are about to launch our first Service-on-Demand application, through Carto3D™, in Kuwait and are working on other global projects as well as the more local Swindon, London, Manchester and Bristol projects.

We are proud to work in partnership with Swindon Borough Council on a couple of Smart Cities projects and also happy to be ambassadors for the ‘Switch on to Swindon’ (SOTS) initiative. Our other partner include Skanska, whom have supported us with our innovation into the construction market.

We have ambitious growth plans, and the aim is to keep CartoConsult HQ in Swindon, with a satellite office in London. Who knows, we may open an office overseas.

So, whilst this is all great news, I am also a long suffering Swindon Town FC supporter, and the children also have to follow suit! CartoConsult is a member of Trust STFC, and we fully believe that the football club should be much closer to the fans than it is now. I will leave it there, before I get in trouble!
