It was by chance that I settled in Swindon; I was born in the North East and after finishing university moved around a lot, living in places like Brighton and South West France, but I had never really settled anywhere. It was then in 2010 that I moved to Swindon to be closer to my now husband … first tick in the box for Swindon!

After a successful start to my career in HR, I was working for a Swindon based communications company as HR Manager.  Then my life changed in an instant inDecember 2014, our wonderful daughter arrived into this world a whole three months early, a very tiny, very poorly, very beautiful little girl that completely rocked our world, we didn’t know if she would make it

After a transfer to Bristol St Michaels Hospital and a short stay in NICU, she was transferred back to Great Western Hospital and spent the first three months of her life being cared for by a very dedicated team of NHS professionals. The staff at Swindon Great Western Hospital were amazing and we will forever be in their debt for working so hard to make sure that our little girl is still with us. She is now a happy, healthy two-year-old. Another huge thank you to Swindon!

Then came the big dilemma.  Do I go back to my career in HR working all hours of the day OR do I start my own business doing what I love and spend more time with my husband and daughter.  It wasn’t difficult to decide!

So, I made the decision to put all of my skills as a HR Manager, Personal Assistant, Office Manager and Sales Professional to good use and become a Virtual Assistant.  I focus on assisting mobile professionals, entrepreneurs and small/medium businesses that require the knowledge and skills of an experienced HR Consultant or Personal Assistant, but only want that assistance when it suits them.  

I carry out the tasks that business owners don’t have time (or want!) to do, so they can go and spend time doing the stuff that they love!  Amongst the services I offer are basic administration, booking travel, dealing with customer enquiries, diary management, social media management, HR consultancy and business development.  

So why have we decided to live, and raise our family in Swindon? My husband has a great job working for a very successful local business, and although I offer Virtual Services, I have some great local clients who I love working with.
